Having not released new music in over a decade, songwriter Peter Breinholt recorded "The Counting Of Nothing" mostly alone at home during the Fall of 2018. Some of the songs are autobiographical - about living in South America for a time, adapting life perspectives and growing older. Embedded in the album is also a four-song narrative about a boy who leaves home to find the music he hears in his head - music the natural world moves to, but most people do not hear. Peter sang all of the vocals on this album, played most of the instruments and produced. Pat Campbell and Mike Ensign provided the rhythm section for the big songs.
